My name is Navid, and I’ve been playing middle eastern music since I was a wee boy, growing up in Canada during the 80’s and 90’s. Below you will find some insights about Persian, Arabic, and Turkish music I’ve learned from my music teachers and my own theories and ideas over the years.

If you grew up in a Western environment and you want to get into middle eastern music or rediscover your culture, then you’ve found the right place.

My dream is to rekindle the of spark of middle eastern modal music so that it will continue to endure for generations to come.
