A lot of people agree that it’s difficult to get a good, deep, boomy, authentic Arabic Oud sound on the MultiOud. I used to think the same thing. I used to think that the MultiOud is just good for Turkish music and Turkish Oud style.
A friend once played a gig with an Oud player who only plays the MultiOud and commented, “He’s a good player, but the sound of that Oud SUCKS!”
What I did
I thought that this can’t be true so I decided to do some serious experimentation with the MultiOud Ambiance and make it sound good for Arabic tuning and Arabic sound.
My solutions are contained in my new program “Ultimate MultiOud”. But for now I want to share one of the biggest factors that go into getting a deep, boomy, Arabic Oud sound on the MultiOud.
